on restoring the ability to function to patients. It is also the field of Medicine with expertise in disability determination, disability management and return to work issues.

The specialty provides rehabilitation services to patients with Cancer, Occupational Injuries, Cardiac Diseases, and Pulmonary Diseases. The specialty provides for evaluation and treatment of wounds, wound infections, and spasticity. It also focuses on the prevention, treatment and complications of immobility such as decubitus ulcers, pressure sores, Deep Venous Thrombosis (DVT), and Pulmonary Emboli (PE).
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation utilizes medications, therapeutic injections, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology, Social Workers, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, Orthotics (braces), and Prosthetics (artificial limbs) to treat and rehabilitate patients to reach their maximum level of functioning. Recent advances
in Electrodiagnostic Medicine utilize the state of the art technology of EMG/NCV testing to diagnose nerve and muscle injuries and diseases.
Dr. Leibowitz is Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
expert and Board Certified physician in the field with greater than fifteen years experience in this
specialty who serves as a medical expert for plaintiff and defense counsel, as a consultant to insurance companies and as a consultant to disability insurance companies. He provides litigation support
and consulting services regarding medical malpractice, personal injury, workers compensation, disability determination, and disability management. His consulting services
also include Peer Review and Utilization Management Review.
Dr. Leibowitz has served on the faculty of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey- New Jersey Medical School and as an Attending Physician and faculty member at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. He has served as Medical Director of a consortium of Diagnostic and Treatment Centers and as Medial Director of Ambulatory Care Services at a Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Leibowitz is currently an Attending Physician at a teaching hospital where he teaches and provides patient care. He is a published author, lecturer,
expert and graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin. His Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency education was served at Temple University Hospital and at Long Island Jewish Medical Center which is an academic campus of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
